An Outreach Symposium to Enhance University’s Youth Volunteerism

Faculty of Law at Tanta University held an outreach symposium to enhance university’s youth volunteerism in cooperation with Decent Life Foundation under patronage of Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President; and Prof. Mohammed Hussein, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; in attendance of Dr. Zainab Samy, Coordinator of Decent Life Foundation in Gharbia; and Prof. Mustafa Abu Amr, Faculty Dean.

Prof. Mahmoud Zaki highlighted the importance of the presidential initiative, Decent Life, in providing support to the neediest categories, indicating that such symposiums come within the framework of the university’s role in raising awareness of its students, enhancing the culture of voluntary work and community service via participating in the projects of the initiative.

In addition, Prof. Mohammed Hussein affirmed that students’ participation in such symposiums, which depend on dialogue and discussion, contribute to shaping their characters, raising their awareness, and disseminating the culture of voluntary work.

For his part, Prof. Mustafa Abu Amr welcomed the attendees of the foundation commending the role of the initiative in providing a decent life to all the citizens in the targeted areas. He called upon students to take part in the events and activities of the initiative.

Moreover, Dr. Zainab Samy indicated that a documentary was presented showing the activities and projects implemented by Decent Life Foundation, as well as areas of voluntary work at the initiative. In addition, registration forms were handed out to students who wanted to join the foundation.
