Holding a Symposium Titled, “Combating Violence against Women”


   Under auspices of Prof. Mohammed Hussein, Acting Tanta University President and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Osama Badr, Dean of Faculty of Law; and Prof. Samy Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Faculty of Law organized a symposium titled, “Combating Violence against Women”, coinciding with the annual celebration of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, observed globally from November 25th to December 10th. The symposium was delivered by Dr. Amani Zahana, Member of the National Council for Women.
   The symposium took place on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, in the presence of Prof. Osama Badr, Prof. Baligh Hamdi, and a number of academic staff, assistant staff, employees, and students.
   At the conclusion of the symposium, the Faculty Shield was presented to Dr. Amani Zahanna, along with a certificate of appreciation, in recognition of her efforts and the role of the National Council for Women in raising awareness to achieve the objectives of the presidential initiative, "New Beginning for Human Development”.
