MG. Prof. Alaa Abdel Moaty, Gharbia Governor; Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President; Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Faculty Dean, attended the public defense of the PhD dissertation submitted by researcher Moemen Mohamed Hassan Abdel Rahman Naga at the Faculty of Law. The defense was held on Sunday, 3 May 2026.

   The dissertation, titled “Provisions Governing Foreign Funding of Civil Society Organizations in Light of the Rules of Public International Law,” was evaluated by the Judgment and Discussion Committee, which comprised: Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Khalifa (Chairman), Prof. Walid Hassan Fahmy (Member), and Prof. Sami Mohamed Abdel Aal (Supervisor and Member).

   Following an in-depth academic discussion during which the researcher presented and defended his work, the committee decided to accept the dissertation and award the researcher the PhD degree with the estimation of “Excellent”, in recognition of his outstanding research efforts and valuable scholarly contribution to the field of law.
