In support of research excellence and in encouragement of researchers to pursue scientific creativity, Tanta University Faculty of Law announces the opening of applications for the Prof. Boutros Boutros Ghali Prize, awarded by the Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge, for the two best PhD dissertations submitted to Egyptian universities in the fields of public international law and international organization. The prize is open to dissertations for which the academic degree was awarded during 2024 and 2025.
The first prize is EGP 100,000, while the second prize is EGP 75,000.
Applicants are required to submit an electronic copy of the PhD dissertation in PDF format, along with a curriculum vitae and a certificate from the college awarding the degree stating the date on which the degree was obtained. Applications should be submitted via email to:

The deadline for submission is October 1, 2026.
The submitted dissertations will be evaluated by a specialized scientific committee to select the two winning dissertations. The results will be announced and the prizes awarded during the annual ceremony of the Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation, scheduled to be held on November 14, 2026, coinciding with the anniversary of the birth of Prof. Boutros Boutros Ghali.
