Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, inaugurated today the 11th International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Law, titled "Justice and Digital Transformation." The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law; the faculty's vice deans; and many faculty members and researchers.

   In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Hussein affirmed the significance of the conference, noting that it addresses one of the most pressing issues facing societies and nations in the modern era amid the accelerating digital revolution and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies and intelligent systems. He added that the New Republic, under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has given unprecedented attention to digital transformation as a fundamental pillar for building a modern, knowledge-based state, enhancing the efficiency of its institutions, and improving the quality of public services. He further noted that Egypt's justice sector has made significant progress in recent years toward developing its digital infrastructure, contributing to the delivery of timely justice, strengthening transparency, facilitating access to judicial services, and reinforcing the rule of law.

   Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law and Conference Chair, stated that the faculty's 11th International Scientific Conference continues the Faculty of Law's academic and national mission of addressing contemporary legal issues. He explained that the theme, "Justice and Digital Transformation," reflects the faculty's awareness of the need to keep pace with the rapid changes in technology and artificial intelligence, as well as the challenges and opportunities they present. These advancements, he indicated, require the continuous modernization of legislative and judicial systems to strike a balance between technological progress and the protection of rights and freedoms.

   The Conference Chair also expressed his sincere appreciation to Prof. Mohamed Hussein, Tanta University President, for his continued support of the university's academic and research activities, and to Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, for his ongoing support in ensuring the success of the conference. He also commended the efforts of the Scientific Committee, the Organizing Committee, and all participating researchers and attendees, expressing his confidence that the conference's discussions and recommendations will enrich legal research and support the advancement of digital justice in Egypt and the Arab region.
