Seminar on “Renewing Religious Discourse and Promoting Awareness among Youth”

   Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Tanta University President, and Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and in the presence of Prof. Hassan Mohamed Ahmed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Youth Welfare Department, in cooperation with the Student Union, organized a seminar titled “Renewing Religious Discourse and Promoting Awareness among Youth.”

   The seminar was delivered by Dr. Tamer El-Shebeiny, representing the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments), who discussed methods of protecting young people from extremist and destructive thought. He highlighted the importance of fostering the values of moderation, tolerance, and rejection of fanaticism. In addition, he explained how national and cultural awareness play a pivotal role in preparing youth capable of critical thinking and sound judgment.

   The seminar attracted a large turnout and active participation from students, who engaged with questions and discussions on intellectual and societal issues. The event concluded with the honoring of Dr. Tamer El-Shebeiny, to whom Prof. Hassan Mohamed Ahmed presented the Faculty Shield in appreciation of his valuable efforts in enriching the intellectual and religious awareness of the university’s youth.
