“Reducing Electricity Consumption” a Symposium at Faculty of Law


   Under auspices of Prof. Mohammed Hussein, Acting Tanta University President and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Mahmoud Salim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Osama Badr, Faculty Dean; and Prof. Samy Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Faculty of Law at Tanta University organized a symposium titled, “Rationalizing Electricity Consumption” for faculty students. It was held in attendance of Eng. Ghada Fekry, General Manager of Conservation at South Delta for Electricity Distribution Company, and was given by Eng. Marwa Nofal, Manager of Conservation Department at South Delta for Electricity Distribution Company.
   The symposium addressed the importance of rationalizing energy consumption and emphasized making it a societal behavior, especially in light of the challenges the world faces, such as climate change and global warming issues.
   The symposium was held in the light of the presidential initiative, “New beginning for Human Development” which seeks to raise awareness of the students about the importance of energy and the necessity to rationalize its consumption.
   At the end of the symposium, Prof. Osama Badr granted the Faculty Shield to Eng. Ghada Fekry and Eng. Marwa Nofal as appreciation for their efforts.
