“Combating Violence against Women” Forum at Tanta Faculty of Law

    The “Combating Violence against Women” forum was held at Tanta Faculty of Law under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Tanta University President, and Prof. Mahmoud Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development. The forum was attended by Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Sami Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Hassan Boudy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

    The event was organized in cooperation with the National Council for Women in Gharbia Governorate, coinciding with the global “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign, which runs annually from 25 November to 10 December.

Speakers at the Forum:

• Prof. Ramadan Maan – Professor and Head of the Economics Department, Faculty of Business, Tanta University, and Member of the National Council for Women

• Asst. Prof. Sara El-Okl – Director of the Anti-Violence Unit, Tanta University

• Dr. Amany Zohana – Member of the National Council for Women

   The forum, held on Wednesday, 4 December 2025, was attended by a large number of faculty members, administrative staff, and students, and was organized under the supervision of Ms. Bahia El-Menshawy, Director of Student Affairs, in coordination with the Student Union of the faculty.

   At the conclusion of the forum, Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Faculty Dean, honored Prof. Ramadan Maan, Asst. Prof. Sara El-Okl, and Dr. Amany Zohana, presenting them with appreciation plaques in recognition of their contributions and the role of the National Council for Women in raising awareness, in line with the objectives of the Presidential Initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development.”
