Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, Tanta University President; Prof. El-Sayed El-Agouz, Vice President of Tanta University for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Law — and in coordination with the Youth Welfare General Administration and the Student Welfare Organization under the supervision of Ms. Bahia El-Menshawy — the first introductory seminar of the National Reading Project (Fifth Edition) was held on Monday, 23 February 2026, at 12:00 PM, at the Central Auditorium.
The seminar was attended by Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Taha, Professor of Foundations of Education and Educational Planning at the Faculty of Education, and University Coordinator of the National Reading Project at Tanta University, as well as Dr. Al-Shaimaa El-Esseili, Faculty Coordinator of the Project.
The seminar addressed the following themes:
1. Introducing students to the National Reading Project and its organizers.
2. Presenting the “Cultured University Student” track designated for university students.
3. Explaining the criteria for book selection and the method of preparing summaries through the “Achievement Blog.”
4. Outlining the financial and honorary awards.
5. Responding to all students’ inquiries regarding registration and competition procedures.
